Intermediate students walked the school property perimeters to clean up our community. Howard Gardner School is part of the statewide "Great Pennsylvania Clean Up" program and is a designated Litter Free Zone, Students do this community service twice a year in the fall and spring. They identify recycling and trash. Most of the items collected like plastic, cigarette butts, and styrofoam are not biodegradable. Our students are happy to help the people of the community and animals that might be harmed by litter.
